Re: Raiders Are Thinking Pink!
Hope you don't mind me making a post here. Well I am going to do it anyway. This year we have had more participation than any other year with Breast Cancer Awareness. At my work we put on a Slide Show/Spoke person presentation. It was put together by some Co-Workers and the daughter of a Breast Cancer survivor. She was only 14. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house when she was done. I can't recount everything she said, but I'll put the Botton Line Up Front. Her mother ment the world to her, and she couldn't imagine growing up without her. 1 in 8 women will face some type of breast cancer in thier lives. As being a guy, the devastation it would bring to me to loose my Mom or my Wife, I can't imagine. So when I get home from work, I'm gonna break out the Pink.

I'm going to dye my sister in-law's white kitten - pink!!!!
All kidding aside - all forms of cancer are serious - but lots are treatable/curable if caught early enough. I cannot stress how important it is (although not something we all like doing) is get tested and making people aware they need to get tested and nothing wrong in being tested, no matter how um un-delicate it is.
Boob Smashing is no fun (um well ...ok let me clarify). Nothing like getting parts of your bodies smashed like pancakes between two plates of glass to make you want to do that on a regular basis.
On the same side of the coin- as you get older - if your over 35 and your family has a history of Prostrate or Colon cancer - GET TESTED! If no history I think you safe till 40's then should start the baseline so your doctor has a history going forward. However, if your body is telling you something - get it checked out. I lost my mom to colon cancer cause she kept the fact to herself she had blood in her bowel movements - she thought she had a bad case of hemorrhoids, (after a year of keeping this to herself she decided to see a doctor).
