Having talked to Xslia I know that she would LIKE to have it open for everyone to raid rather then waiting lists, but sadly we can not if we want to progress as fast.
A lot of people say 21 points they would not mind the prefernce.... For me honestly I'd like it to be 101 (the old class buy). I would prefer NOT to have one at all, but if you are going to completely cut someone out of bidding it ought to be for enough DKP you are going to think about it (IMHO). If an item is so critical to your class that you need to shut other people out of the item than you ought to be willing to spend something for it.
have things changed to the point where people of the same class wont rape each other for weapons/shields? like if this rule was in place when i still played the major difference would be that new raiders can get an important slot upgraded relatively cheap even if it means not bidding for the rest of the night. i'm sure the vets will still go insane over some sick shield/bow/2hander.
edit: i guess 21 is low enough that it does kind of suck for off classes that waited for all the tanks to get the best available shield then they cant even bid for it because some rookie bid 21. i dont know what dkp levels are like nowadays but just going off memory 101 is fairly high, maybe 51? but hey i dont play anymore so whats my opinion matter

101 is chump change.
Think we have 37 people with 500+ dkp and 93 (out of 115) with 100+.

Thanks for contradicting yourself
Thats not a contradiction. He stated his clear position he is against limiting raiders bids. HOWEVER, if bids are going to be limited then we should do it this way.
As for agro weapons the best agro procs are not always straight agro (for 5 expansions the best agro procs were stun procs). Warriors/tanks dont 'like' taking good dps type weapons however, When your weapon is behind the rest of the raid and an item is a 'common' drop and therefore relatively low dkp or so significantly above your current weapon that it will increase your ability to tank it may be worth bidding on. I don't know what the best solution is but I dont envy them regardless of decision or changing courses as required because it can get very ugly in tells. Far more so than the forums for that matter.

Ok...so after pages and pages of points for and against these particular looting restrictions we now have a good time to readress the issue...the current content at the time of this post ...tier2, has bow, shield and 2hander purchacable by using chits....personally, i thing that if those classes that NEED these items dont get them from a chest, then should be spending chits to get them....if they are needed, they should have them as soon as possible and the way to do that is to buy them from the vendor, not wait around and wait until they drop...this effectivly makes the restrictions not needed any more...just my 2 cents...and yes,i understand that not every person is in every raid and gets chits, but im saying use them to get the restricted item first when you have the required amount...since the leaders of the raidforce have put an emphasis of those items
