No body can get in to cancel their card info. If they had it they charged you before they closed everything down so even if you canceled your cards the charge was put in before they posted why they closed it all down! I read where people where being charged before their due dates so looks like we all still getting charged weather we can get in to change info or not. I would check your cards to see if you got an early charge from Sony and dispute it and explain why so they don't get your money.

My brother convinced me to do a free trial of WoW, I haven't played since September 2006. I am not happy with Sony right now.

That's exactly what Sony needs to worry about; people drifting off to find other games to play like WoW. The longer it's down the more players they lose.

Sadly, due to this incident, Everquest will probably lose some players who will probably find other online games.

Sony restricts information about how to modify their hardware products. This is abnormal compared to almost anything else in terms of hardware. A Sony lawsuit criminalized someone involved in some sort of hacker culture (the culture is news to me, they present themselves as freedom fighters). This hacker group decided to attack Sony in retaliation.

The hacker group claims to be fighting for people's freedom and their rights, and some would agree. however, as Winda Benedetti with MSNBC says:
"Still, if this is the route Anonymous is going to take to help the "innocent people" it claims to be sticking up for, everyone involved has to ask themselves ... Have they become something worse than what it is they claim they're fighting?"

So we get to twiddle our thumbs and worry about our credit cards and bank accounts while this behind-the-scenes game goes on. This hacker power idea sucks imo.

these guys are clowns. i wish theyd put a 1 hp Geohot model mob with 10sec repop timer in game. id spend an afternoon chain killin it

I would too... as long as they did not make it hit to hard... Monks suck and I would be afraid of it corpse camping me.

Anonymous said a while back they weren't involved.

well I got my house cleaned, contractor's here today to do some work for me, did some work on a baby gift project, took down all the glass display items on my shelves and got the first load thru the dishwasher... played around in Rift some... still just like WoW for the most part just better graphics. Waiting for Starwars the old republic to come out to dab in that part time. Round 2 of the contractors come out at end of week to finish the rest of the "house" projects. About the time they all finish, I'll be dead broke again, and nothing to do but stay inside and play EQ.. it better be back by then!!!!

Can chat with some of us in Ventrillo after work hours - I'm in and out after work depending on what going on in house. I tortured Cellar for the most part the last 2 nights in vent, but we got our credit cards changed over and I froze my credit info with the 3 reporting companies!

Off to organize the chaos closet.

This downtime is sure silly. At least the Facebook fan page chatter is entertaining.
