2010 October Raiding Class Needs

I’m asked from time to time what does public need for raids. Well the obvious answer is “Raiders!!”, preferable those that can listen, pay attention, and work well with the way we are organized an setup.

Public does not have a quota system where we have 3 wizard spots, 4 Shadow knights, 24 rangers, etc., allocated and then turn all others away. Our founding principal was based on giving people a chance to raid content that might not otherwise see in smaller family guilds or even non-guilded raiders. We tend to farm a zone a bit longer then smaller private guilds due to the fact we have a larger raiding base then some. When we do have more then 54 for a raid instance, we ask people to sit out or ask for volunteers to allow others a chance to raid also. We are based on a DKP system with a set of rules, which allows the raider to build their character gear as they like. If you are asked to sit out, and you remain at the staging point for raids, you will still earn dkp.

With this in mind, however, we are a "raid force" that is raiding some very hard content with our goal of progressing through current content raids. We will do a gear check and AA when you arrive. If you are newly minted 85 with your 1250 AA's from PL session's, and you have not even attempted to at least obtain T6,7,8 or T9 gear form UF, check back when your gear improves. You will not survive .

We are looking for players that know their class, have the AA's, gear, and heart to raid (knowing on new events we might take a beating).

October 2010.
Right now our raid force is Tank heavy (War,SK,Pal) what this means is that if you are a new Knight or Warrior showing up for the first time, make sure your gear is top end for current content (raid and/or top end group gear with a lot of the current 30+ AC augs farmed). As we cycle raiders thru the events, knights and warriors are typically cycled more then others if its a heavy turnout night. Your class is also the one that stands between the raiders and the event - taking the hits, YOU.MUST.BE solid in gear. If you need a benchmark - 5K ac unbuffed (subject to change when HoThule released)

We have different benchmarks for different classes - and it's subject to change as we progress deeper into content and with expansions and I let the class leaders and leaders handle the benchmarking.

With expansion around the corner as soon as it's released, New raiders must have level 90 obtained before joining noflags channel (existing raiders are grandfathered in until level is raised for all raiders later this fall).

Needs at this time: Bards, Rogues, Wizard and of course some more amazing cleric's and druids.
