I love the teather on mobs. This basically prevents you from being trained by other morons unless you are dumbenought to damage one of crowd going by. Also the fact that there is no SoW (without drawbacks) in the game you really can't outun mobs. Just because they are teathered doesn't mean you will live.

Quests are not the only way to get exp. In general at higher levels quests give 4 to 6 K of exp. If you fight the right mobs or in the right location for killing things you can get 200xp or better non rested exp. Most chose to do quest rather then sit in the same area for 8 hour and grind exp, which woudl be faster then questing if done in the right location.

All in all I woudl love to be still playing EQ but just couldn't handle sitting out for hours on end.
