I loaded EQ on my laptop so I wouldn't miss the first few days of the expansion but I am getting an error code I can't figure out. As soon as I get past the login screen and it starts to load up the server select screen I get the following.
"The instruction at 0x038219br referenced memory at 0xfffffffc. The memory could not be read. Click OK to close this program."
Any ideas? I closed all nonmicrosoft programs and did a full file scan of EQ but it still doesn't work.
Laptop is not very powerful but it should run eq with 4g of RAM.

I did a fast search in sony's forums and I guess you need to look to see what is applicable to you - vista 32 or 64 or Window 7 or XP etc., This is just one of many topic threads.

Re: Laptop Help
I tried all that stuff suggested on the forums and downloaded the directx stuff but I still get the same error. I'm not going to mess with it anymore and risk messing up something in this system. I'll just have to play catch up this weekend.

Did you re-install eq from a previous saved desktop installation?Sounds like a possibility. You'll need to reload the patcher and game files from cd's to get you started with updates, then let it do its thing.

Set your UI to 800x600.
Later you can expand it to something your laptop can handle. I had a similar issue and it was because the UI from my desktop was set to a higher resolution then the laptop could handle.
