How long? Will EQ be down.....

If this goes on much longer might actually have the new computer arrive before EQ gets back up. Had been talking about getting a replacement for a few months, final shove was realizing that this old timer has been running since 2003. The occasional lockups have been getting to be more than weekly events too.

Got bored enough to play my character on my son's Champions account, was amusing to see that it had been over 400 days since the last time the toon was used : )


The scary part of an extended down time of course is that we will tend to find things to do instead of eq, its a LOT of work not doing too much work around the house now.........cant let that become the new standard, heh. Yard work is a good time sink right now tho.

WoW Updates: Level 27. I am really like the changes they ahve for the game

humm got 3 toons there leveled up - then I stopped because people in instances were whiny babies. I have a 4th that needs 5 levels to max out... just no fun when people rant about their repair bills if they die or at the healer if they die, because lord knows the healers has to heal everyone that has aggro because they think cloth classes should be able to tank... one mess up and the tank bails 2 feet in and you have to wait 40 minutes for another instances. yep don't miss it at the moment.

I'm not avoiding any one , im avoiding my pc chair , it is hard to sit in a chair with 2 Major buldging dics and a Lumbar epidural hematoma, and it isn't getting any better, seems Workers Compensation is giving me the run around and STILL hasn't sent me to a Orthopedic/Neurologist. they have sent me to every other (Edit*) doctor , but not to who i should be seeing.

So Boo hoo on life atm !!

Can chat with some of us in Ventrillo after work hours - I'm in and out after work depending on what going on in house. I tortured Cellar for the most part the last 2 nights in vent, but we got our credit cards changed over and I froze my credit info with the 3 reporting companies!

Off to organize the chaos closet.

I have done a bit of cleaning as well... IF any would be thief was dumb enough to try and steal my eq (or any online gaming info for that matter) they would be saddened to learn that the account that pays for all that stuff is a zero sum account... that does not allow a negative balance and never has money until moments before an actual purchase is made

There are some nice tricks to be learned from dealing in Accounting and business operations as long as I have. That said it can be a bit of a pain in the ass without reminders set ahead of time. I learned a bit after one of my credit cards was stolen in college. Then too the thief learned that just because a stolen card has a limit of $5k doesnt mean that it actually has $5k of room on it.

90 days isn't the planned downtime. It has always been the "time-to-inactive-status" where things need to be "rebuilt".

The thing that I noticed is what alarms me: Going from 90 days, to 150 days, is a 40-day potential delay on things. I'm not saying that is what will happen, but it appears they are planning for this as the worst case. Let's hope it doesn't actually get that far!
