Retiring?

Post by Ridian »

Hello folks,

EQ has been a fun place for the last several years, but it's time for this SK to pack his bags. I won't say I'll never return, but I have stopped my account renewal and it will end in February sometime. I'll miss the raid force, but real life and game boredom has taken it's toll.

I dont want to name names on who I'll miss blah blah, except for Xslia. You've been a great friend and partner in game. I may just keep my account going so I can log in and talk to you heh.

Best wishes to all, and keep kicking butt and being the best you can be. And never stop following Rule #1.

Wow. You Suck!

Seriously, though... enjoy whatever you are up to, and hope to see you back someday.

Daq, So much emotion floods me, that its hard for me to respond. You have been a wonderful in game friend and partner. You and I have duo'd a lot of the content, your one of the few remaining people that understand me when I say "what would Hrendra do?" I remember seeing you in Plane of Tranquility for the first time - with a Nocturnal Souls Guild tag... I could take days going through our years of history. I valued your input and commentary's and willingness to make people "cry" that were being mean or ugly to me. Your tells to cheer me up when a drama was unfolding, and readiness to tell people to take a hike if they tried to start something. Your skills as an SK were top notch and one of those players that took on the hardest things and even the stupid things (kiting in a circles) without complaint.

Thanks for the times you drug me dead thru most zones, since mobs from 8 floors away would aggro me for no apparent reason. We spent a good portion of time just hanging and chatting in game outside of raids. I hope you had a great Christmas and Wish the the most wonderful New Year.

You have been a loyal and valued member of this raid force, but more so a valued friend in real life also. So continue to expect email, cards and letters from me... and if you ever on a drive thru, dinner is my treat!

Hugs
Xslia

I was wondering why Jaer felt it necessary to try and lure me out of retirement. Now I see why. =) Time for Daq to join me in the Shadow Knight Hall of Fame.

Daq, you were a great friend and comrade when I played, and it's people like you that kept me hanging in there when our obstacles--or drama, or both--were at their most annoying, and seemed the most insurmountable. Retire knowing you were part of the best knight corps on Tunare.

Bah!

It just means I have to talk -both- of you into coming back!

I need someone to keep me sane around here. Otherwise who will balance out Don and Cellar?

I figured Cellar would still be around, but Donglad, too? Christ, I don't know how Daq lasted so much longer than I did.

Have a good time at whatever you do going forward dude. You were all class as a player, none better. Oh I guess I should formally retire one day as well, but alas I cannot see myself not renewing my account. I have to log in once in a while to let Sissee know how my tribe is!
