Telora - Laura Urban from Seneca, SC - memorial services

Post by Xslia »

My heart goes out to the family, and our EQ family on the loss of a Mom, mother, friend and much loved co-EQ player.

Yesterday March 4, 2012 - she was pronounced clinically brain dead from a massive brain hemorrhage and removed from life support last night. Her family wishes to honor her memory with a celebration at one of the local parks, paying tribute to her life instead of the traditional services done at a funeral home to reflect the non-traditional and life loving person she was. These services are scheduled for Wed March 7th in Senica.

The family is working to set up a group facebook page to allow those who knew her to post any pictures, or tributes. As soon as they let me know what the link is, I will update this post.

I'm going to be honest here and tell you my heart has a another big hole in it at the moment. I'm so blessed that we had a chance to spend a lot of time these last few weeks talking as she decided to return home to us in public.

To my heart sister Laura Urban - thanks for the years of wonderful memories. I love you and miss you. Be my unconventional angel.

Back in the autumn of 2007 i was standing on a boulder. We were raiding Vishimitar and i was over on that boulder to the right were the drakes were being offtanked when i got this tell out of the blue. An old friend who i had grouped with and raided ToV was pestering me endlessly. Eventually, and mostly to get her to leave me alone until the raid was over, i agreed to think about what she mentioned. A week or so later i accompanied you guys in Deathknell, and enjoyed my first time in that zone. Sadly, i stuck around, inflicting Wanluan upon you guys.

Telora, i love her (<--- if you are old enough you will understand that)

ok, time for me to change that to the answer song...

Telora, i miss her

I'm not even sure where to begin. Telora and I spent many hours grinding AA's in the early days and was the first wizzy I spent any time with. We just spent most of the day on Saturday working the crappy Sepulchur tasks. She was one of the few people I actually called a friend and chatted with about our lives outside of the game. She was headstrong but never failed to help out when she could and I will forever miss having her around.

The family has set up a memorial page and where her celebration of life service will be held tonight.

http://www.facebook.com/LauraEUrbanRemembrance

In lieu of cards or flowers they are asking for donations to the home depot "Homer Fund". Telora was an employee there.

FYI, Telora's family wanted to give others a chance and chose organ donations. Telora's heart and lungs went to someone in Ohio that was about to be pulled off the donor list. Her liver went to someone in Charleston.

Lets keep those people receiving theses gift's in our prayers that their bodies will accept these chances for life.

Never had to meet her in person to know that she was a great person! Every time I bumped into her in game, it was always a good surprise and happy to see her. My memories go way back to the Plane of Hate raiding days with her.

I'll miss her very much. =(

Im really not good at this. I lost my dad few years back so my heart goes out to the family. Even tho we never really spoke, perhaps a few times. We attended countless raids together. Laura was and will forever be remembered as a kind and wonderful person and a GREAT team member.
Legend.

Telora was a sweetheart. It seems the ones who have long term health problems have a special place in this world. She had a good heart and knew where her real priorities were. This game we call our second home helps a lot of our friends with special needs of one sort or another help get them through their days or nights. She is dancing with the angels with a lot of other loved ones. She will be missed. Big hugs to Laura and her family. God bless them all .
