"Butch Trucks passed away yesterday at age 69. Butch was known around the world as the drummer and co-founder of The Allman Brothers Band.
Butch was also an original member of the Everquest guild <Infinit>, originally on E'ci. This was my first guild and Butch was a good friend of mine.
Butch played a cleric named 'Orient' and was key to the progression of The E'ci Public Raiders.
RIP Orient"

That's my post from my Facebook account...
Butch was a good friend in and out of game.
He played a cleric named Oriant. (the name in the original post was autocorrected)
Butch/Oriant and Ashorty were two of the originals for Public. I came a few years after.
Butch would offer backstage passes to friends and it was always fun sitting backstage bs'ing with him, ranting about EQ. I remember one time we were railing on about Shuraz and some Time raid we did and the other band members and people were looking at us "like wtf are you two talking about?" It was good times. I know he did this for other members as well, Bonzaii for one.
Sad day for us all.
Godspeed Butch, RIP.

I was checking in on you all and came across this....
Tragic news about an old friend. O was probably one of the most level headed, genuinely nice people i have ever known online. All of the old school infinit/ecipub raiders remember some very dramatic and tense raids that often times went over the top - oriant was a very positive force in chat and would help keep things even keeled.
When it came down to helping others with epics, he seemed to always be there. And as many of the awesome clerics out there, didnt mind going far out of his way to come give you a rez if he could.
I came here to stalk infinit because i really miss the old gang, but coming across this news is truly saddening. My heart is out for his family, i can only imagine how nice of a guy he was in real life.
