Farewell

After 11 years of Everquest and several years of raiding, I am pulling up my footstool and resting my weary halfling feet. I realized that raiding and Everquest in general was taking up far too much of my life and often seemed like a second job instead of fun. And my longtime EQ friends, I met Paris via another character in EQ in November 2001, have mostly left the game. I appreciate all the help I have had over the years from raiders, especially Kaneldar, Hamilkar, and oh so many rangers who have PLed my dwarf, and for the friends I have made in particular Silver, Yachtor, and Sarellen. I think the one I will miss most and have missed already these many months is Gaggrol. He and I made a good team as he often mentioned. My special thanks go to Jaerlyn who was with me in Awakened Fires and introduced me to raiding. He has been ever tolerant of my lapses and forgiven my mistakes. Thanks also to Xslia who did not kick me out of the raid force after I had evacced my group or myself for the umpteenth time. There are so many more of you that I have come to like and enjoyed raiding with. Please do not feel slighted if I did not mention you by name. You are a great bunch of folks, some really interesting characters, and a great team to work with.

My EQ account does not expire until mid-November so I will be on infrequently, mostly on Ibnhaddad my neglected Paladin. I will probably come back occasionally on free to play just to say hello.

Gaerwind, there are not enough words for me to explain how badly you will be missed. You have been a cornerstone for this raid force for a long time. Your dedication and willingness to help anyone goes without saying.

This saddens my heart and I will wish you the best. Please do keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

Well my friend,You will be missed.Silver will miss fluffing your pillows at nap time.Over the years many people have come and gone,sadly I have to agree,aspects of the game have lost it's sparkle.Thank you for calling me your friend.I will miss the accidental ports to Loping when we were raiding Mansion.Your constant banter about interrupting your nap time
